Profitable Organic Décor and Building Trust

For episode 398 of The Bright Balloon Podcast (recorded live at the Sempertex International Balloon Convention) I finally got to sit down in person with Elisabeth from Pop of Color Arizona, and this time we chatted about profitable organic balloon décor!

It actually felt like the perfect moment to talk about it, since she had just wrapped up her class teaching on it.

Organic Décor Has Earned Its Place

When organic décor first became popular, some people saw it as a fad. But Elisabeth says it’s absolutely here to stay. And after teaching internationally, she’s seen how different countries excel in unique styles... and she believes there’s so much value in learning from each other.

Price for Profit, Not Comparison

Elisabeth is also passionate about pricing based on your market, not just your competition. She sets quarterly and yearly profit goals, using those numbers as her guide when deciding which jobs to take.

“Markets are completely different,” she explained. “The same setup costs something totally different in Orlando versus New York City. You have to know your own market value.”

This mindset keeps her business profitable and focused, not reactive.

Home-Based and Efficient

Like me, Elisabeth runs a home-based business and she makes it work beautifully for her life. During busy seasons, she preps throughout the week so her installs are fast and efficient.

It’s further proof that being small can be a huge advantage when you’re organized.

Build Trust, Keep Clients

Elisabeth never skips her client consultation. For her, it's not about details shared; it’s about the connection made.

By focusing on relationships, she has built loyalty that's turned one-time customers into repeat clients.
